NTDC and The Van Diemen Project are hosting Richard Webb, CEO and Co-founder of Start Mesh, Founder of South Bondi, Chairman and Founder of Red Ocean and member on NTDC’s Investment Taskforce, for a casual networking session .
Richard previously served as the CEO of Renaissance Corporation, the largest publicly listed education and tech company on the New Zealand Stock Exchange, and as the founder and CEO of the publicly listed interactive communications group Blue Freeway.
With over 30 years’ experience as a successful CEO, business mentor, and entrepreneur he is frequently asked to speak at world conferences on a range of tech-related, entrepreneurial topics including “The creative class and the future of small, nimble economies” (TEDxAuckland, Auckland, 2010).
This is a great opportunity to hear from and pick the brain of a successful CEO, business mentor, and entrepreneur.

Key Directions Report (KDR)
The National Institute for Economic and Industry Research (NIEIR) werecommissioned to model what the future may look like taking into account the new projects already underway and potential new initiatives in the North. Their report predicts a falling workforce and wage stagnation unless we act now.
Northern Tasmania must build on industries with export potential: agriculture; food and beverage manufacturing; forestry and wood products; and other competitive manufacturing. We need to strengthen regional supply chains, value add to our products and collaborate to be globally competitive.
Northern Food Network
The casual networking event was successful in bringing together a group of food and beverage producers to connect and hear from Jill Storey, who explained how crowd funding can help food producers finance new products and test the market.

Supplementary day for Next Generation agricultural managers on Saturday 2nd March
