Golconda Road Funding Announced

Dorset Council will receive $2,580,000 as part of the $3,225,000 project with the project set to upgrade 3.4km of Golconda Road between Little Forester River and North Blumont Road. 1.4km from Little Forester River to Nabowla will undergo widening and safety improvements with the remaining 2km from Nabowla through to North Blumont Road undergoing a full reconstruction.

Golconda Road is an important transportation link for commuters, tourism and freight and is a Priority Project listed under Dorset Council Priority Projects Plan 2023-2025 and NTDC’s Regional Priority Project List. Further details can be found here.
